Katsuaki Ishiyama-san established Abis tonearms in 1974 with the aim of hand manufacturing precision tonearms. Over the years Ishiyama-san has accomplished his goal and then some with a strong range of high-quality hand made tonearms which represent excellent value for money in their respective price points. The name of the company changed in 2017 to Sorane meaning “Space Sound” in Japenese.
